My mom is the HOD of Zoology in SP College Pune. She also is an active researcher in biotechnology and diabetes. I have always seen her managing the household and her job very efficiently and singlehandedly! My father is not always at home because he is a Captain in Merchant Navy. I am in awe of my mother because of the level of multitasking that she is capable of! All these years, she looked after me and my brother, my Grandmother (who had Alzheimer’s Disease for many years) , completed her PhD and worked as a professor in SP College. I hope I will be able to do atleast 10% of this in my life! She has always been very down to earth despite her achievements in life and that is a very important lesson I have learnt from her! On Mother’s Day I thank my Aai for making me the strong and independent woman I am Today not just by telling me to do things a certain way but also by being the woman and mother that she is!
